This is one of those great old-school supper clubs. The building itself is beautiful, almost 100 years old with taxidermy critters and gnomes on the lights. It’s a great place for good ol’ Wisconsin Friday Night Fish Fries with non-stop food and a relish tray! The regular menu looks great, the fried chicken sandwich I had was so big I had to take half home. I am particularly interested in all the boozey ice-cream drinks.~ Lisa Roman
The food and drinks are fantastic! The bartender is great and she muddled the old fashions we ordered which is always a great detail. Our waitress however seemed a bit spacey, didn’t really check in with us and left the dishes on the table consistently. After we ordered our desserts she dropped the bill off before putting our dessert order in with the kitchen which did feel uncomfortable. ~ Nicole Schmidt
First time visiting the Goose and Gander, and I’m so glad we did! The food was outstanding – very full of flavor, and leftovers were just as good the next day. I tried the Pesto Shrimp Lingini, and you can definitely tell that the pesto is house-made. It was really delicious. Hubby got the Flank Steak, and he was very happy with it. Compliments to the chef who was working on Wednesday, May 6th! The bartender made us old-fashioneds (they were great), the owner stopped by and greeted us and our server, Rachel, was fantastic, despite being the only server in a packed house. Kudos – we will definitely be back soon! ~ Marianne Smith
