I had low expectations for the fish fry at Dotty Dumpling’s- after all, the place is known for its burgers. I was totally surprised at how good the walleye was. Really, one of the best fish fries I’ve had in my 70+ years. Add in their selection of draft beers and their fries, and you’ve got a great meal. We will return!

We went on a Friday before a Badger basketball game. Although they were packed, the restaurant was well organized. One couple had burgers and we split the walleye fish fry. Burgers were excellent, fish was thinly breaded and excellent. Tartar sauce was tasty. Waitress was friendly and efficient. Definitely will visit again.

A must stop for me when visiting Madison. Lucky to be here on a Friday to have the best walleye fish fry and to have a fantastic bartender Cory who has the most welcoming smile to a business traveler.
